The GESIS Panel offers researchers at universities and non-commercial research institutes from all social and behavioral science disciplines the opportunity to collect their own survey data.
Due to its random-based mixed-mode design (web-based & paper questionnaire), the GESIS Panel.pop Population Sample is suitable for research that aims to draw conclusions on the adult German-speaking population of Germany.
By linking online survey data with digital behavioral data (e.g., web tracking data), the new GESIS Panel.dbd enables for example innovative in-depth research into more precise measurements of online-based information seeking behavior or news consumption.
The GESIS Panel does not accept commercial research projects.
The GESIS Panel safeguards various interests, obligations and regulations when making the final decision on the acceptance/rejection of submissions: These are (a) legal regulations and ethical standards, (b) GESIS' obligation to protect the panelists' integrity, (c) GESIS' interest in maintaining an unbiased panel (e.g., by reducing panel attrition and drop-out likely to be induced by certain topics and experimental procedures), and (d) the interest of the primary and secondary researchers in collecting and using high-quality survey data.
If you are uncertain whether your specific research project is in conflict with any of these interests, obligations and regulations, please do not hesitate to contact us (see below).
