GESIS Methods Hub

The Methods Hub is a collaborative online platform dedicated to advancing social science research by sharing computational methods and related tutorials for using, managing, and enriching digital behavioral data (DBD).

The heterogeneous and multimodal nature of DBD requires complex pipelines of computational methods, ranging from data collection, preprocessing, cleaning, and engineering, to conducting state-of-the-art analyses and AI applications. To this end, the Methods Hub aims at empowering social scientists to adopt innovative methods from computer science, in particular, from fields such as AI, network science and NLP. The Methods Hub provides a centralized space for researchers to easily share, discover, and utilize computational methods for social science research, thereby improving the reusability, citation, and reproducibility of DBD-related research.

The Methods Hub serves as a pioneering online platform tailored for social scientists who want to

...discover state-of-the-art computational methods:Explore a curated collection of innovative methods relevant to social science research.

... learn about using computational methods for social science research: Tutorials provide insights into new methods and help working with complex computational pipelines.

...share and disseminate computational methods: Register and contribute methods and tutorials, ensuring visibility, reproducibility, and citability of their valuable contributions to social science research.

Join us in this collaborative journey where knowledge converges, methods thrive, and the future of reproducible and impactful social science research takes shape.
