Guidelines for the use of the GESIS logo by external third parties

The GESIS logo is a central element of our corporate design and represents our identity and values. To maintain the integrity and recognizability of the logo, it is important that external partners adhere to the following guidelines.

Logo position

The GESIS logo should always be clearly visible and clearly recognizable. Ideally, the logo should be displayed in a prominent position in the top left or right corner of a document or website. It must not be positioned in areas that are strongly dominated by other graphic elements or text.

Appearance of the logo

When integrating the logo on colored backgrounds, it should be used in negative form (white). The logo may only be used in the defined shades of blue (CMYK 100/10/0/0) and 100/65/0/30) as well as in black and white. When placing the colored logo on photos, dark or uneven backgrounds, a white, predefined area must always be included in the protected area.

Free protective space

A protective space must be maintained around the logo that is at least the height of the "G" in the GESIS logo. This space ensures that the logo is not impaired by other graphic elements, images or texts and helps to preserve the effect of the logo and make it clearly recognizable.

Size and proportion

The size and proportion of the logo are important aspects to ensure its legibility and visual integrity. The proportions of the logo must not be altered or distorted. The minimum width of the logo is 32 mm for print media and 100 pixels for digital media. Larger representations are permitted as long as the proportions are maintained.

In partner publications or on cooperation websites, the GESIS logo should be displayed in the same way as other partner logos.
