Mission

Team Training at Department Knowledge Exchange and Outreach (KEO) has been developing and organizing external and internal trainings for both young and advanced scientists from Germany, Europe, and around the world since 1972. We offer courses in German and English. The focus of our work is on Data Analysis, Survey Methodology, Computational Social Science, and Research Data Management. Top international researchers as lecturers, our many years of experience, close monitoring and, in the case of larger events, an extensive social program guarantee the high quality of our events.

GESIS Training is committed to the principles of Open Science. This implies the following for our training events:

We support our participants to work according to the principles of Open Science in their own research activities. Therefore, we regularly offer courses that introduce these principles and teach practical ways to implement them.
We use free and open source software in our courses whenever possible.
We encourage our lecturers to use freely accessible data sets.
Our lecturers make their teaching materials available to the participants of our events. These materials include scripts, syntax files, and exercise data sets.
